It’s Easter morning and I awoke with the assurance that He is risen- He is risen, indeed!
My redemption has been secured, and death has been defeated for all eternity.
My life’s hope is firmly established in the truth of Jesus’ resurrection. It amazes me every time I think of it. Not the resurrection- no, I know my God is too big to be bound by death- but that He has allowed me a way to be a partaker of that resurrection. One day, He will call my name out of whatever grave I’m in. And I will finally and eternally be with Him!
Oh, that wonderful promise of Heaven! No longer bound by flesh that wastes away, that is prone to temptation and sin. Once again reunited with loved ones who have gone before me.
And united at last with the One my soul loves- Jesus Christ.
How I long for that day in Glory when our Easter morning greeting is changed to include the fulfillment of that promise I’m longing for. When we finally can say with tears of joy-
He is risen- and He has returned! What a glorious day that will be.
Amen- Even so come, Lord Jesus.
